Bags For Function + Décor

September 23, 2020

Utilizing bags for function and home décor is the best way to use a bag to its fullest potential. Sharing my favorite tried and true totes, along with how I use them!

I don't know about you, but I'm a firm believer in function + style. As in, I love for things to have a useful purpose while also adding a beautiful aesthetic. So when I can combine the two, I most certainly do. My favorite way? With bags! And I have some tried and true bags that I absolutely adore, and have been adoring since 2016. They're solid, exceptional quality, get the job done, and add storage and charm to my home. It's a win-win, and I can't recommend trying this concept more.

So where do you turn for the best kind of bags that meet both qualifications? From my go-to girl at Lyla Grace Design. She customizes an array of bags, but I do have my personal favorites: this box tote for starters. I have three of these bags, and I use them for everything - library runs, candle drop offs, road trips, toy holder, and so on.  It certainly checks the function box. As for style, its sturdy flat bottom makes it a standing piece of decor to hold blankets, other bags, etc. And because the bottom can be removed, thus making it foldable, it's great for hanging too. The leather straps and the custom print add to the charm.

The line of bags at Lyla Grace Design doesn't stop at the box tote. There's literally any type of canvas tote you can imagine, and you can customize them all! I have used these bags for everything from packing our hospital bags to welcome our babies to family vacations and short little trips. They are literally the bags I grab to do anything, especially considering that they are also all around my home being utilized as décor too. Layering bags on a wall hook = the perfect decorative touch!

Truly, I can't say enough good things about the totes and the shop! And Katie, the gal behind the bags, has been so kind to offer 20% off to my readers! Be sure to use this special code at checkout: ONOAK20
