Life Lately No. 3

November 18, 2016

Happy Friday! I took an unintentional break this week, but wanted to pop in for a little life lately before the weekend! It's been good around here. Albeit busy, but good nonetheless. Our home is starting to look a lot like Christmas, and it's making my holiday-loving heart about to explode. I always imagined how magical it would be at this time of the year with a little, but it doesn't even touch how wonderful it really is. We've been pulling out Christmas jammies (husband and I are going to need some too!), playing Christmas music, planning Christmas cards (p.s. if you want a Christmas card, send me your address!), and decorating. It's fa-la-la-fabulous!

Also, who can believe that Thanksgiving is less than a week away?!?!?

This little miss is absolutely smitten with her mama's childhood wagon. She loves going for walks around the neighborhood in it. I think it might be in my top ten cutest things I've ever seen category.

By now you've heard that husband and I got to be a part of the Southern Weddings V9 issue. We got to play dress-up and get married all over again. I'll be sharing our experience next week, so stay tuned! And run to Target to see the magazine!

We have HUGE Hickory trees in our backyard. And their cascading leaves have created a sea of gold. As in, you can no longer see the grass whatsoever. It's super magical watching the leaves fall, so while raking is quite a chore, I think it's worth it :)

To celebrate the launch of the V9 issue of SW magazine, we headed to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, last Thursday to be at the launch party. Super fun, and super southern. What more would you expect? We spent all day Friday exploring, and thanks to Lisa's suggestions, we enjoyed THE. BEST. BLT ever at Merritt's. Of course, no road trip would be a road trip without Starbucks.

'tis the red cup season! The joy here for these red cups (hello, there are 13 different ones!) is tangible! I think the birch tree cup is my favorite, but y'all I haven't gotten it yet! What's your favorite holiday drink? Mine is the caramel brûlée latte. Yum!

Our dining room DIY/makeover is done. And all the praise hands go up! It was quite an undertaking, but it looks SO much better and so very cozy. I love how it turned out. My plan is to reveal each room after the holidays, but don't worry, you'll be getting a peak when I share our Christmas home tour.

Breakfast foods and dessert are my love language. So what's better than combining the two?? I made homemade cranberry orange scones a couple of weeks ago, and they were scrumptious!

Twine & Cotton is pouring out Christmas candles, and it's making my house smell like Christmas paradise. Did you catch our release of the mini candles?? They're super adorable and perfect for gifting! Split them three ways between your friends! Also, you can now add a Christmas card to your order if you're planning to gift it!

Rachel, my friend and our tried-and-true photographer, gave us a sneak peak at our anniversary session photos this week. I'm swooning. That's all I can say. If you're local, check her out!

We'll be cutting down our Christmas tree tomorrow, baking up a storm, and finishing our Christmas touches around the house. It's good to be in the holiday season, and I wish I knew how to make it last all year through!

What's on your weekend agenda?? xo

p.s. ONE WEEK UNTIL GILMORE GIRLS IS OUT!!!! WHO'S FREAKING OUT?!
Grab our Stars Hollow candle now to enjoy while you're binge watching! It's the perfect scent all year long!!
