I Feel So Very Loved

August 12, 2013

There are a lot of perks of getting married, like:
  • I get to marry my best friend and we'll become one
  • A whole new chapter to life starts
  • Parties to celebrate the upcoming nuptials
  • Reasons to see the ones you love
  • Fun new household items and decor
  • DIY projects
  • And the list goes on...
So when my sister announced she would be throwing me a bridal shower, I was super excited for the excuse to gather everyone up and hang out, for the fun decorations, the silly games we'd play, and the delicious food we would be snacking on all day. And that's exactly how my bridal shower played out, there was food (tons of it), goofy games that made me laugh, decorations made from the heart, my family and friends all in one place at the same time, and an abundance of love. I couldn't have asked for prettier weather, more smiles, or a better shower. As far as I'm concerned it was as close as you can get to perfection.

The hostess with the mostess! Lauryn did a fabulous job and I give her kudos for all the work and effort she put into making that so special. Thank you for a wonderful shower, sister!

I am so grateful to share my engagement and future wedding with the people that mean the most to me. Having them take their Saturday to be with me was the best gift I could have received.

Who knew toilet paper could turn into such lovely gowns??

Admittedly, I'm sad to see the phase of wedding showers end. I delighted in every hour of it and I'm going to miss it. But, these showers will be some of my fondest memories during fiance's and my engagement! Thank you to everyone who shared in all this joy with us, it means the world!
