Pumpkins, Pumpkins Everywhere

October 9, 2020

Our annual trip to the pumpkin patch, complete with sunshine and cool temperatures.

If you don't go to the pumpkin patch is it even fall?? This is one of our favorite traditions this time of year. So much so, that we typically go twice just because we can and because we love it so much. The girls were extra into it this year. I'm thinking it had a lot to do with the open space and fresh air. Of course, all the pumpkins too. They were so cute this year, so sisterly and big together. Quinn was my itty bitty last year, and all of a sudden I have this big girl who is so aware of the magic of fall and the holidays. It's the best. And don't get me started on my baby boy amongst the pumpkins for his first time. I am so excited for all of the firsts we're getting ready to share with him as we round out the best time of year. Gah, I just can't get over the three of them.

We visited last Friday, late afternoon, and we had the entire patch to ourselves. It was so nice for a handful of reasons - our little wild women could run without needing to stay close due to a crowd; I was able to nurse a hungry baby in the middle of the patch, not something I would have tried had we not been alone;  there was no one there to witness the couple of meltdowns we experienced; there was no wait to hop on the slide.  It was a win for our family. Not to mention, I just really love the patch and being surrounded by the mountains. It's one of my favorite places, so full of nostalgia and happy feels.

So here is our visit, and I'm sure I'll be sharing a second visit later this month :)
