Oh May!

May 2, 2016

Hello, May, you sure did sneak up on us fast! Thanks for starting off with sunshine and beautiful temperatures!

Yesterday turned out to be one of those days that is hard to beat. After a quick trip to husband's hometown over Friday and Saturday, we enjoyed a simple and relaxing day back home on Sunday. Our morning was slow with cuddles, a nap, and a trip to the grocery store. By afternoon, we headed to one of our favorite places for a picnic lunch and some vitamin D.

Baby girl fell asleep during the grocery run and continued snoozing through the first 30 minutes at the pond, giving husband and I a little time to chat and eat lunch. Once she was up, she was a giddy girl to be outside. Greer nursed and surprised us with one major blowout. Thankfully, I learned my lesson months ago to always carry extra outfits (new moms, this is crucial!). Cleaning her up meant a little bare bum/completely nakey time in the outdoors, and she loved it. I'm sure all those passing by also enjoyed the dimply baby hiney hanging out by the water ;)

There were turtles, ducks, and baby geese to see, so we plopped a sunhat on her head and made our way to the water's edge. We followed that up with some strolling around the pond and a short walk to some of our favorite people for a surprise visit.

Each moment of our Sunday was lovely in every way. I've dreamt of days like this with my own family for years upon years. Let me tell you, it's even better than I imagined! Happy Monday, friends!
