Thoughts For Friday + The Pick: Week 39

October 2, 2015

My heart is swooning for October. Although it's raining and soggy here in Virginia, it's still the loveliest month of them all, and I'm happy to welcome it. Speaking of rain, it's been insane. All week the skies have been gray and the clouds have been sending down a constant mist or some type of wet precipitation. And it's only supposed to get worse, as in another flood to top the flooding that occurred Monday. Prayerful that the rains don't cause horrific conditions. I guess, I'll be stocking up on reading materials, good food, and candles (you know the important stuff). I'll also be sure to have batteries ;)

Before I get my thoughts started, I wanted to remind you...

  • We'll be linking up next Thursday the 8th to share our Halloween décor. Join Rachel and I for some festive and spooky touches!
  • The scarf exchange post is also next week on the 7th! Ladies, I hope you all got your scarves out in the mail!

T H I N K I N G  > I need to find the time to sit down and paint my nails finally. I'l already looking forward to a pedicure and manicure toward the end of November to pamper myself before little miss gets here. And also, because reaching my toes is becoming a no-go.

P O N D E R I N G > About dining room chairs. Currently, husband and I have a bench, two end chairs, and three DIY/recovered chairs. The three project chairs have been great over the last two years, but it's time for a replacement. do you know of a good spot to get great chairs at a great cost??

N E E D I N G > A daily back rub. Baby girl, I love you dearly, but you are giving this back of mine some terrible aches.

L I S T E N I N G > To rain and more rain.

D R E A M I N G > Of two years ago at this time. I was just three days away from marrying husband, and amidst that I was moving an entire apartment from Maryland to Virginia, finishing up last minute touches, and so darn eager to walk down the aisle. Monday makes 2 years of wedded bliss for me and my guy! I'd marry him all over again.

S W O O N I N G > Well I already told you, October! But, if I had to pick another it would be having the fireplace come back on after a summer and spring of just sitting in my family room. I love the coziness.

Here's to a weekend of calm and relaxation. To little rain, even if torrential downpours are inevitable. And to kicking off October in the most fall-fabulous kind of way!
