A Spring Evening In The Garden

May 2, 2019

Lately, I've found myself in a really joyful and content spot in my life. I'm not sure if it's because I'm not super pregnant this year or because the weather is absolutely lovely. Likely, it's a combination of both and then some. This spring has been really sweet to me, and it makes me just plain happy. We are spending a lot of time truly enjoying the outdoors; working on home projects; taking after dinner strolls through the neighborhood; and building a little spot for a garden.

Once the littlest Hill goes down for bed, the rest of our evenings are almost always spent in the backyard, tending to all the outdoor chores. We even get a little wild and let Greer stay up past her bedtime ;) One of our newest ventures are raised gardens and a flower bed. It's our first attempt at this, and we're crossing our fingers that these veggies, flowers, and herbs will grow and grow and grow. So far, our Roma tomatoes have sprouted, along with the basil. And I'm already dreaming of all of the fresh-from-the-garden bruschetta we'll be devouring this summer.

So here's a little look at one of these magical evenings, where we work till the sun is all the way down.

p.s. how is my baby this big and beautiful and wildly wonderful??!
