Cooking Up A Little Imagination

October 2, 2017

I've never seen a little girl quite as thrilled like I did the day husband and I surprised our Greer with her very own kitchen. Like Santa's elves, we worked into the midnight hour to put together the kitchen on the day it arrived, then wrapped it up in the biggest blanket we own, and tucked it away in the family room. The next day we headed off for a full morning at the apple orchard, and upon our arrival at home, we unveiled the kitchen to an excited little miss. She immediately went to work in her kitchen, pulling out the pans and utensils, throwing in the vegetables, and pouring cups of coffee. My girl knows how to operate a well-run kitchen, and clearly she knows what's important; pour me some coffee too!

My favorite thing about this kitchen is it's aesthetic; it's a beautiful toy that fits into the play area of our family room like a dream. I love that it has a modern look, comes in white, has an amazing price point, and is wooden. The oven knobs turn, the ice dispenser drops two cubed pieces of "ice," and the faucet handles move back and forth. From the farmhouse sink to the door pulls, the kitchen offers plenty of charm. And since it's so realistic in nature, it gives our little a more life-like experience as she plays and bustles about just like mama does in the actual kitchen.

Teamson Kids put a lot of thought into this design, and I'm sure every mama is nodding, "yes," with me. It's a child's toy that is pleasing to the eye and provides endless imaginative play.

And just like the rest of the house, I love to add a little seasonal and holiday flair to Greer's play area. It's an easy way to make her feel included in the festivities, and it keeps the fun of the holiday season all throughout the house!

If you're looking for a toy that is as lovely as it is entertaining, this Urban Kitchen is the right fit. And if you are thinking ahead, it would make the perfect Christmas gift! We can't tell you just how love the play kitchen is, for both little and parents. It really makes the imagination come alive!

A special thank you to Teamson Kids for sending us this kitchen to review.
