Life Lately No. 2

October 18, 2016

Sorry for the radio silence around here, friends! If you were here, I'd invite you in to enjoy the sweet, cool breeze coming through my living room windows and listen to Johnnyswim while we chat over iced peppermint mochas. So let's pretend instead :)

Last week was a week, and well, blogging just didn't happen. Mostly the lack of blogging is thanks to a screen issue with my laptop. I had to send it off to be repaired on Tuesday, and it's still out of commission. Blogging at my desktop is a little tricky with baby girl these days. Her naps have been shorter than I would like/what she needs, plus all of my photos are on an external hard drive, which isn't synced to my desktop. Oui! Needless to say, I just decided it wasn't worth driving myself crazy over, so I took the week off.

Life around here lately has been all about settling into our home. We have a project list that keeps growing (mostly because I keep adding stuff), and it is keeping us so very busy. But, our house is starting to feel more like home every day. I can't wait to share more with you!

We're also so busy with this little peanut. She is growing and changing constantly at this point. Every day she is discovering how to do something new. She babbles all of the time, crawls like a seasoned pro, and is enjoying this cooler fall weather (she gets it from her mama). We've been enjoying mama/daughter trips to Starbucks, Target, and TJMaxx during the week; and it's the sweetest time with her. Her personality is budding and she's beautiful from the inside out. I still can't believe I get to be her mama.

October is a full month for us as we try to pack in all the seasonal activities. Because you can't go through the month and not celebrate all that goodness. I wish October was longer. Don't you?? We're all decorated for Halloween over here, and hopefully I'll be sharing that décor soon. We're also putting together our Halloween costumes, and I can't wait to share them!

In the downtime at night, husband and I are making candles and churning out our new Twine & Cotton Christmas scents. You all, I know I'm biased because I make them, but they smell SO darn delicious! They have me so ready for the most wonderful time of the year and all that Christmas cheer! Check them out, and if you place a pre-order between now and next Monday you'll be entered to win a free Christmas candle of your choosing!

So besides the other odds and ends of our day-to-day, that's life lately. What has your October been like?
