Wedding Weekend Pt 1

October 22, 2013

Two weeks and three days married. Total bliss. And I have finally found some time to get all my photos together! As I sit and upload them, watching each one flash by in rapid succession, my heart smiles as I relive the amazing moments. My wedding weekend was perfection. Really, I know how cliché that sounds, but I couldn't have had a better two days, a more wonderful way to profess my love to my best friend and now my husband.

Thank you to all our friends and family for making our special day, just that. We wouldn't have wanted to share it with any other people...our people. The love and support you have shown us means the world.

Here it finally is, the start to it all. I'll post the rest tomorrow, so make sure to come back and check. And of course, the honeymoon photos and professional photos will follow. I'll get to posting them all eventually, because they're too great not to share. And a special thanks to my cousin for capturing candid day-of photos.

As soon as I saw the venue, it immediately spoke to me and I knew it was the place we would be celebrating our marriage. I mean come on, how can you not love all the exposed brick (makes me swoon).
I have never taken so much pleasure in designing anything. My wedding was  BIG deal to me and it needed to be on point. It needed to scream this is 'Pete & Astleigh'. I had a theme, stuck with it, let me creativity take over. It turned out better than I imagined. I think it perfectly described us.
The peach jam made its debut! (See it here)
^^After decorating the venue, we headed back to the Frederick House, an inn scattered in downtown Staunton, to get ready for the rest of the evening. Can you sense a a quaint and charming theme for our wedding weekend??
^^My girls, my family.^^
^^And yeah, that hottie on the right is my gal, my bridesmaid, and I sure do love her.^^
And like time always does, it sped by. And the wedding morning was there. After breakfast, we headed to the salon...because what gal doesn't want get all fancy for such an occasion?!
And please look at these two sweet faces (above and below).

Of course, after this sweet girl's hair was done we made our way back to the inn, ate some pizza (because what else do you eat on your wedding day for lunch), and lisened to music/watch Tech play football. Then we got ready and putting on the wedding dress made it all feel real. I'm telling you, October 4th and 5th were magical. Until tomorrow! xoxo
